After marrying his childhood sweetheart he bent Chapter 4.1

Marriage Contract

The entire kitchen suddenly fell into an eerie silence.

After a moment, Wen Fan came back to his senses and chuckled, “Mr. Shao, have you gone crazy from being single for too long? What nonsense are you talking about?”

Shao Yisui seemed to suddenly realize how rash his words were, and as he looked at Wen Fan’s smiling eyes, he chuckled too.

He reached out and pinched Wen Fan’s face, teasing, “Laughing at me? You really have no conscience. I’ve been having a headache over this matter, and you’re laughing?”

Wen Fan tilted his head back and replied, “It’s all the same. It’s not just your parents urging you. But you shouldn’t think of marriage as something terrifying. Your uncles and aunts are also looking out for your best interests. It’s not like they’re forcing you into the execution ground.”

“What? Are you thinking of getting married? Wen Fan, quite thoughtful, huh?”

Wen Fan pushed his shoulder, “Alright, stop being cryptic. Let’s go outside and talk.”

Shao Yisui took the lead in the conversation, not willing to let him go easily. He pressed him against the kitchen counter, propped his arm against Wen Fan’s side, blocking all paths of escape.

“Where do you think you’re going? Explain it clearly.”

Wen Fan lifted his eyes, helpless, “What do you want me to say?”

“What’s good about marriage?”

Shao Yi, accustomed to being unreasonable, didn’t argue with Wen Fan but teased him, “Of course, it’s good. Haven’t you heard the saying? A wife and children can bring warmth to the home. Having a wife and children is good.”

Shao Yisui narrowed his eyes, feeling inexplicably displeased, and his voice grew lower.

“What wife? What children? Who are you eyeing behind my back? Who do you want to have children with?”

Shao Yi’s body exuded the vigor of his age, pressing tightly against Wen Fan’s, their hot skins almost igniting.

“Get up.” Wen Fan backed away again, “What’s wrong with you? Are you telling me not to get married just because you’re not?”

“No.” Shao Yisui grabbed the back of his neck, bending down to meet his gaze, “Didn’t you follow me around calling me Gege when we were kids? If I, Your Gege, haven’t gotten married, why should you? And even if you want to, you have to bring the person in front of me for approval.”

A frown creased the man’s brow, seeming genuinely concerned.

Wen Fan tapped his forehead with his finger, “I Know. You’re being stubborn again.”

“Do you despise me?”

Wen Fan replied, “How could I dare, Mr. Shao.”

Shao Yisui knocked him, “Clearly you do. You’re either asking whether Secretary Qin’s wife has given birth every day or scolding me for bothering Secretary Qin. You care more about him than you do about me.”

Wen Fan was amused by his childishness, “Well, now I’m showing concern for you. Is that too late?”

“Too late.”

Wen Fan raised an eyebrow, “So I have to double it.”

“…”

“You’re stubborn.”

“Don’t say that.” Shao Yi’s tone was stern, “Think about how to care for me. If I’m not satisfied, don’t even think about going home.”

He threatened somewhat convincingly.

Wen Fan thought for a moment, “Didn’t you say you wanted to go to the Beicheng before? I will accompany you for a few days?”

“Not enough.”

“Then I’ll make you another meal, braised beef.”

Shao Yisui lowered his eyes, “What else?”

“Not enough?” Wen Fan raised an eyebrow.

Shao Yisui lifted his eyelids and asked, “Is that all? Are you trying to send me away?”

Wen Fan heard the insinuation and mimicked his tone, raising his hand to tap his forehead.

“Then I’ll introduce you to a girlfriend? Maybe you’ll like her, and then you won’t have to worry about getting married.”

Shao Yi’s eyebrows furrowed instantly.

Standing up straight, he said, “No.”

Wen Fan looked innocent, and there was a bit more space in front of him. He reached for the leftover cream, intending to feed it into his mouth.

But before he could, Shao Yisui caught his wrist.

Saying, “That’s fine too.”

Wen Fan hadn’t figured out what he meant when Shao Yisui lowered his head and sucked his fingertips into his mouth.

The cream was gone.

The touch of his fingers was tingling and moist, and Wen Fan was startled, quickly pulling his hand away.

“Too dirty.”

But Shao Yisui seemed quite satisfied, casually grabbing a kitchen towel to wipe his hand.

“No worries, barely satisfactory. Otherwise, I’ll come up with another one.”

Wen Fan’s hand was held by him, “What?”

“Fan Fan.” Shao Yi’s tone became more serious, “Marry me, a Contract marriage.”

Seeing Wen Fan still stunned, Shao Yisui continued, “My parents are pressing hard, and your parents are too. Half a year, if the contract expires or if we each find someone we like, we’ll separate immediately.”

“Just… help me out.”

Shao Yisui didn’t seem to be joking, and after a moment of hesitation, Wen Fan didn’t hesitate to slap him on the shoulder.

“You can think of that. Aren’t you afraid that Uncle Shao will break your legs when he finds out?”

“What’s there to break? If I bring you home, they’ll be happy.”

Wen Fan didn’t say anything, quietly obedient. Shao Yisui’s hand was itching again, pinching his face, his eyes narrowed in dissatisfaction, “You don’t want to? Weren’t you just saying you care about me?”

Wen Fan realized that for Shao Yisui, this marriage was just a game between friends. For someone like Shao Yisui, who was straightforward, he wouldn’t think too much about getting married to him. It seemed like a game to him, and making a big deal out of it would seem strange.

And with Shao Yisui’s character, since he brought it up, it meant he had seriously considered it.

Actually, it was understandable. Shao Yi’s status was different after all. It was better to marry someone he trusted than a stranger.

Shao Yisui’s tone became even more serious, “Just like you said, it’s a contract marriage, not a real partnership. I’ve thought about many people, but I still believe that only you can make me worry-free. We’re the most suitable for each other.”

“Fan Fan, what do you think?”

Wen Fan was also thinking.

How should he put this? Wen Fan didn’t have any hope for Shao Yisui emotionally. Shao Yisui’s homophobia was not just a rumor, he knew it’s real.

So they would only ever be best friends. Over the years, Wen Fan had indeed treated him as a friend.

As friends, it seemed okay.

Because their friendship was good enough to help each other with such things. This was the tacit understanding they had formed over twenty years.

Moreover, their current situations were indeed quite similar. Last time Wen Fan went home, his mother kept pestering him, asking him what kind of girl he liked, when he planned to get married, and even wanting to arrange blind dates for him.

Of course, Wen Fan didn’t agree. He hadn’t told his dad and mom about liking the same sex, but not because of them; Wen Fan’s parents were very open-minded people. Wen Fan just didn’t want Shao Yisui to know about it.

So that time, he left a white lie to his dad and mom, saying he would get married soon.

But it vanished as soon as he said it, and a few days ago, his mother was still nagging.

Shao Yisui looked at him, waiting for a response.

Wen Fan calmed down and teased him with a smile: “Okay, Mr. Shao has a huge fortune. When we get divorced, I can get half of the property. Give me all those dozens of cars in your garage.”

Shao Yisui then laughed and raised his eyebrows and said: “If you want, you should’ve told me earlier, let alone get married. I’m willing to give you dozens of cars without getting married. I also have dozens of properties under my name. If you want them all, I’ll give them to you tomorrow.” I’ll take you to transfer the ownership.”

Wen Fan: “…”

“Like a nouveau riche, keep it for yourself to support yourself in old age.”

“You think I’m old?”

Wen Fan pushed him out and said, “Don’t Make trouble. It’s your birthday and the cake will melt.”

Shao Yisui had no intention of celebrating his birthday. He didn’t touch much of the food on the table. After eating a few bites of cake, he took Wen Fan to the study to read the agreement.

Wen Fan glanced at it and felt a headache when he saw the densely packed clauses.

“I’m not good at this kind of thing, don’t show it to me.”

Shao Yisui then leaned back on the chair, crossed his legs, and tapped the computer screen.

“Aren’t you afraid that I will set you up?”

The man’s fingers were long and well-jointed, like an inverted jade bone fan. Wen Fan was originally looking at his hand, but then he noticed a certain clause and his eyes stopped.

He pursed his lips, blinked, and looked at the agreement again.

It had written down dozens of cars and properties under Shao Yisui’s name, even more than that. There were also other personal assets of Shao Yisui’s.

Wen Fan couldn’t help but glare at him, “What am I going to do with so many houses and cars? I can’t live in all of them. Besides, I have my own. Why would I want yours?”

“Don’t people always say the more, the better? Why is it different with you, silly.” Shao Yisui knocked a few times and printed out the agreement, “Here, take it. Don’t wait until I regret it. If you want it later, it won’t be available.”

Wen Fan wanted to say something else, but Shao Yisui had already stood up, pulling him under his arm again.

Shao Yisui was much taller than him, and more muscular. He liked to tease him like this, rubbing his dark and soft hair with his big hands, smiling, “Good boy.”

Wen Fan’s hair was messed up by him, and his whole face was red, like a rabbit.

Shao Yi’s long fingers pinched his earlobe, feeling quite satisfied, “I’ve never seen anyone cuter than you, Fan Fan.”

Wen Fan was annoyed with him and bit him on the arm.
